After the popularity of my Rigging In Maya series, I decided to take a break from rigging tutorials and instead create one focusing on modeling, and in this course we look at creating a female base mesh.
As well as building the main model we also investigate testing how the model deforms as well as UV mapping her so she is then able to be rigged and textured.
At this stage the model is complete, but as she is intended for animation it would be a good idea to test how she deforms and update the topology where needed.
Now, we have kept this in mind as we worked, but its still worth spending some time to make sure, before it is passed on to be textured.
